Help to register a Polish GTi from UK?

Hello I wonder if anyone in the forum could hep me please? I am English and would like to bring my 1997 GTi to Poland. It was registered in Poland, I have Polish plates, but no registration documents. I bought the car through a dealer with no papers, just the bill of sale. The car has needed a lot of welding. Is it possible to to register in Poland so that my Polish friend who lives nr Jelenia Gora can use the car? In the UK there is a scheme for Classic cars, over 25yrs old and I believe there is a similar scheme in Poland? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you very much. Apologies that I do not speak Polish!
